Why a 2-meter yoga mat?
The standard yoga mat has a length of 180 – 185 cm. So a 2-meter yoga mat is a lot longer than average. This gives you much more space on the mat and makes it harder to hit the ground. The mat is suitable for the taller yogi or the yogi who wants more room to move on the mat.
Will a 2-meter yoga mat suit me?
Ideally, a yoga mat should be about 5-10 cm longer than yourself. For the taller yogi, the standard 185 cm mat is therefore a bit too short. A 2-meter yoga mat is therefore more suitable. The 2-meter yoga mat ensures that even in the lying pose (such as savasana), your whole body is supported by the mat and you do not touch the ground.
