Before initial use, we recommend wiping your CORE & CORE Lite using a cloth or a non-scratch sponge moistened with a few drops of organic washing-up liquid and water. This will remove possible film residue left by the manufacturer. Afterwards rinse with clear water, lay flat and dry completely.

Always roll your CORE & CORE Lite with the embossed top surface facing outwards. This prevents curling edges, ensuring that your mat will stay flat to the ground while you practice. When rolled up, the mat stands on its own for easy storage.

Thanks to the mat’s closed-cell structure, no deep cleaning is required. Instead, simply clean the top surface with a wet cloth and a mild organic detergent or sanitizing spray if necessary. Rinse with clear water, lay flat and dry completely. The mat can be left to dry in the sunshine.
Putting a CORE & CORE Lite mat in the washing machine is not recommended, as this will likely produce dents and creases.

When first out of the packaging, your GECO or GECO Lite may have a natural rubber smell. This will gradually dissipate with time and exposure to fresh air. Before initial use, we recommend leaving your mat to air out overnight in a well-ventilated, dry room.

Wash your hands with soap and water before practice. Natural skin oils, hand creams and lotions can reduce the grip of the mat.

Natural rubber is sensitive to environmental conditions. Prolonged exposure to direct or indirect sunlight, heat and high humidity accelerates oxidation. This can cause the color of the rubber to lighten and may create fine white deposits on the surface.

Both sides of your GECO or GECO Lite are designed for practice. Alternating regularly between both sides helps distribute wear and extends the lifespan of your mat.

After practice, roll up your mat with the side you have been practising on facing outwards. When switching practice sides, you can simply reverse the rolling direction. There is no need to always roll your GECO or GECO Lite in the same direction.

Store the rolled mat in a yoga mat bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct and indirect sunlight. Minimizing exposure to sunlight and heat is one of the most important ways to extend the lifespan of natural rubber.

For regular cleaning, wipe both surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and fresh water. Rinse the cloth regularly while cleaning to remove dust, skin oils and dirt.

For a more thorough clean, add a few drops of mild organic liquid soap to the water. Avoid solvents, harsh detergents and abrasive cleaning products. Afterwards, wipe the mat again with a clean cloth and fresh water to remove any soap residue.

Leave the mat completely flat to air-dry before rolling it up and storing it. Do not dry your GECO or GECO Lite in direct sunlight.

If fine white deposits caused by natural rubber oxidation appear, clean the surface with a soft cloth, fresh water, a drop of mild organic soap and a teaspoon of natural vinegar. Afterwards, wipe with a clean damp cloth and fresh water and leave the mat flat to dry completely.

The mat can be folded or rolled up tightly for compact storage after practice.

The surface texture of your Fold-N-Flow/EXTRA mat improves with use. Still, we recommend machine-washing the mat with a small amount of mild organic detergent before initial use. Remove the cover and unzip the inner pillow to remove or add buckwheat hulls to match your needs.

The filling material will gradually compress over time, so it is recommended to add buckwheat hulls in due course.
