Different types of meditation seat cushions

Round meditation seat cushion

This is the more commonly known seat cushion, which you have surely seen in a yoga studio. Extremely suitable for every (starting) meditation practitioner.
The Kurma round seat cushion has a height of 15 cm, so you have enough space to put your legs close to your body.

Half-moon meditation seat cushion

With a half-moon meditation cushion you sit closer to the ground than with a round meditation cushion. Because of its wedge-shaped construction, the crescent-shaped seat cushion will help you to tilt your pelvis forward.

• Inner and outer covers made of 100% GOTS certified ecological cotton canvas
• Purified buckwheat chaff for the filling of the meditation seat cushions. Buckwheat hulls are a sustainable product and 100% biodegradable.

Which meditation seat cushion should I choose?

There are various meditation seat cushions available on the internet. Which one is suitable for you depends on your height and flexibility. Standard meditation seat cushions are 15 cms high, but if you are experienced, you will prefer a lower cushion.
Do you easily come in the lotus position? Then a half moon meditation cushion is perfect for you. Is this not possible for you, but is the tailor’s seat comfortable? Then you need a slightly higher cushion.
